Week of March 20, 2017

The following are academic goals for the week:
Religion: Please join us for Mass on Wednesday at 8:30 in the church.
Spelling: Our words this week are: thought, fought, bought, taught, caught, walk, cough, talk, daughter, ought, sought, brought, trough, chalk, stalk, sidewalk, distraught, afterthought, overwrought, and beanstalk. Our spelling test will be Friday morning.
Reading: We will begin a new story, in the genre of realistic fiction, titled, Good-Bye 382. High frequency/selection words are: airport, curious, delicious, described, farewell, homesick, memories, and raindrops. Other comprehension activities we will work on are sequencing, comparing and contrasting, and identifying adverbs in sentences. We should be ready for a reading test Friday morning.
Math: We will continue with our chapter on decimals and money. We should be ready for a math test on Thursday. After spring break, we will begin working on customary measurement.
Science: After a review, students will have a Science test Monday afternoon. Our next chapter deals with changes in our Earth.
